Tourna Grip

Probably the most iconic overgrip ever made with its signature blue color. You can probably spot someone using it 6 courts down. Let's dive deeper!

I liked...

• that this provides a unique feel. There are very few dry grips on the market.

• that it is super absorbent. I don't want to say tacky, but the more you sweat the better it becomes.

I disliked...

• using it indoors. I am not a huge hand sweater to begin with, but indoors it never gets a chance to get wet and is kind of like using a dry paper towel.

• its durability. It starts to shred pretty early on, so depending on how aggressive you are on your grips you may need to change it a few times per set.

What player should use this?

An extreme hand sweater playing in a climate similar to Florida or hot humid Texas. It's a good grip but seems to work only in the right conditions.

Similar Grips

• Luxilon Elite Dry Overgrip - They are fairly comparable, but the Luxilon one is a little, for lack of a better word, delicate. It doesn't feel as sturdy putting on and has slightly more of a suede-like texture than Tourna Grip.

Last Remarks

I am giving it a 9/10 for two reasons: it is not very durable and it is for specific weather conditions. The weather-specific isn't their fault. It would be like having summer tires and driving through Colorado in the winter. The durability can be an issue, but due to the dry nature of the grip, there is going to be abrasion and peeling.
